 Bungle Shama Rao Dwarakanath is widely known as Dwarakish. He is a Kannada film actor, director, and producer by profession. He was born on August 19, 1942, in Hunsur, Karnataka and died on 16 April 2024, Bengaluru (Cardiac arrest). The Kannada filmmaker C. V. Shivashankar named him Dwarakish.

 The long career of Dwarakish started in the 1960s with the film Veera Sankalpa in 1964 as an actor. From 1974–86, he did a dozen films with Vishnuvardhan, some of which were runaway hits. He launched his own production company, "Dwarakesh Chitra", in the year 1969, with Mayor Muthanna as his first production. Under its banner, the company has produced 47 movies, with Amma I Love You being the most recent one in the year 2018. Dwarakish has also written songs such as "Haavige Mungusiyuntu" and "Namma Hosa". Other films of Dwarakish are: Kalla Kulla, Guru Shishyaru, and Singaporenalli Raja Kulla.
