Flight Lieutenant Siddharth Yadav was an Indian Air Force (IAF) officer who was a young and smart Indian born in the village of Majra Bhalkhi (Rewari district) in Haryana. He had a long line of military service; his great-grandfather, grandfather, and father served in the Armed Forces before him, and he decided to go the same way.
Education & Military Career
In early 2016, Siddharth Yadav cleared the National Defence Academy (NDA) entrance and became a student of the NDA (Course 135), where he received training to become an air force pilot. He joined the Indian Air Force in 2020 as a fighter pilot after graduation at the academy and progressing in specialised training. His rank rose very fast to Flight Lieutenant in a couple of years of service and he was flying an SEPECAT Jaguar fighter airplane one of the front-line combat jets of the IAF.

Personal Life & Engagement
Flight Lieutenant, Yadav was betrothed. He had planned to get engaged with his fiancée Sonia (or Sania) Yadav on 23 March 2025, and also to get married on 2 November 2025. His death a few days after they became engaged was a tragic blow to his family and his soon-to-be bride.
Family & Funeral
Siddharth has left behind a father named Sushil Yadav (retired IAF serviceman), a mother and a younger sister who was studying engineering. On 4 April 2025, his funeral took place in his native village, Majra Bhalkhi, Haryana, where all the military honours including a gun salute, were given in honour of the brave officer, thousands of locals, armed forces personnel, dignitaries, and political leaders attended his funeral.
