An Indian businesswoman, humanitarian, and former Bollywood actress, Preity Zinta, first came to prominence within Hindi-language films in the late 1990s and 2000s. Born on January 31, 1975, in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, Preity will be 50 years old by 2025. 

During her early life and upbringing, Preity was raised in a Vishwakarma Hindu Family. Schooling

At the Convent of Jesus and Mary Boarding School in Shimla, Preity excelled academically, participated in debate competitions and had a keen interest in sports, particularly basketball. After finishing her schooling, she received an English Honors degree from St. Bede's College in Shimla before obtaining a Post Graduate Degree in Criminal Psychology.

Film Career
Preity Zinta began her acting career in 1998 when she appeared in Mani Ratnam's film "Dil Se". She followed up with another movie that year, entitled "Soldier". Both movies helped establish Preity Zinta as a talented actress and earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. In 2000, she became better known after portraying a very difficult role as the teenage single mother in the film "Kya Kehna". The role was groundbreaking for its time. Preity Zinta has made many memorable performances in films such as "Kal Ho Naa Ho", "Lakshya", "Dil Chahta Hai", "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna" and "Veer Zaara".

Marriage and Personal Life
Preity Zinta married Gene Goodenough on 29 February 2016. He is an American businessman, currently employed as Senior Vice President of Finance at NLine Energy, a hydroelectric company in the USA. Today, Preity divides her time between India and the USA.
