Film Career
Preity Zinta began her acting career in 1998 when she appeared in Mani Ratnam's film "Dil Se". She followed up with another movie that year, entitled "Soldier". Both movies helped establish Preity Zinta as a talented actress and earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. In 2000, she became better known after portraying a very difficult role as the teenage single mother in the film "Kya Kehna". The role was groundbreaking for its time.
