The most awaited movie Liger couldn't even come close to its huge pre-release hype. The trailer of Liger was very well received, and after that Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey promoted Liger with lot of efforts, leaving no stone unturned, and everything they have touched and everything they have done turned to gold. However, despite all this, the Liger box office collection opened to a disappointing response and fell away notedly thereafter. Presently, amid rising reports of distributors and exhibitors demanding compensation, it's being told that Vijay and Director Puri Jagannadh's next film, Jana Gana Mana, has been shelved.

It looks like the after effects of the Liger box office failure have been felt on Vijay Deverakonda and Director Puri Jagannadh's next film together, Jana Gana Mana. From the time when the film fell away like nine pins at the box office, there's being daily conversation of distributors and exhibitors wanting to be compensated for their huge amount of loss. Both Vijay Deverakonda and Director Puri Jagannadh have decided to forgo their salaries for Jana Gana Mana, which, incidentally, also happened to be one of those so-called pan-India films. However, a new report has now appeared stating that the project has been totally shelved.
