Hyalu Gel Review - Uses, Benefits, Ingredients

Hyalu Gel Review: Affordable Hyaluronic Acid Solution for Oily and Combination Skin

hyalu gel

Hyalu Gel has garnered significant popularity in India as an affordable alternative to hyaluronic acid serums. Hyaluronic acid is known for its ability to bind water, keeping the skin hydrated, plump, and youthful. Additionally, glycerine, which is a humectant, aids in moisture retention, combating dryness, and ensuring prolonged skin hydration.

Hyalu Gel:

- Price: INR 250 for 30g

- Shelf Life: 3 years

Product Description:

Hyalu Gel is a non-sticky, non-oily, and non-comedogenic gel. It is an aqueous hypoallergenic gel with no added colour or fragrance.

Ingredients:

The key ingredients of Hyalu Gel include Aqua, glycerine, sodium hyaluronate, DMDM hydantoin, sodium methylparaben, sodium propylparaben, and carbomer.

Packaging:

Hyalu Gel is packaged in a white opaque tube with a sky blue screw-on cap. A flip-open cap might have been more convenient for quick use and travel, as it ensures no leakage.

Fragrance:

Fortunately, this product is fragrance-free, although some users may detect a very faint glue-like odor.

Hyalu Gel Review And User Experience:

This transparent, liquid gel has a runny consistency and requires a gentle massage to be fully absorbed into the skin. While it lives up to its claim of not feeling sticky or oily, some users may experience a slightly uncomfortable stretching sensation after application. Even as someone with normal skin, I apply this gel immediately after cleansing, and while it feels light, it does leave my skin feeling somewhat stretched. To alleviate this, I apply a moisturizer on top, which helps, but the initial sensation persists.

Appearance:

Hyaluronic acid is often recommended for dry skin, but not all hyaluronic acid products are suitable for this skin type. Thankfully, Hyalu Gel can work well for those with oily or extremely oily skin.

Post-application:

Personally, I am not fond of this gel and would not recommend it for those with dry to normal skin. However, it can be highly suitable for individuals with oily to combination skin. Moreover, it can function as both a serum and a moisturizer due to its runny consistency. People with oily or very oily skin can even use it as their primary moisturizer.

Additional Recommendations:

It's important to note that this gel leaves a matte finish, so it's advisable to complement it with a moisturizer containing humectants, emollients, and occlusives. Hyalu Gel primarily relies on two skin-hydrating ingredients, glycerin and hyaluronic acid, without any unnecessary additives, although it does contain parabens, which might be a concern for some users.

Pros:

- Affordable

- Travel-friendly packaging

- Fragrance-free

- Hydrates oily skin

- Oil-free, non-greasy, and non-sticky

- Suitable for combination, oily, and extremely oily skin

- Provides a matte finish

Cons:

- Not suitable for dry skin

- May cause skin to feel stretched

- Contains parabens

Overall Rating: 3.5 / 5

In conclusion, Hyalu Gel might not be a personal favorite, but it comes highly recommended for individuals with oily and combination skin types. It offers an oil-free, non-sticky formula that effectively hydrates the skin without adding excess oil. However, individuals with dry skin might want to explore other options.
