The educator Avadh Pratap Ojha, known professionally as "Ojha Sir," entered the world on July 3, 1984, in the town of Gonda in Uttar Pradesh. Mata Prasad Ojha operated as a postmaster and his wife maintained a legal profession. His parents made educational pursuits their main priority through the sale of their land to fund his educational path. The accomplished scholar Ojha obtained the degrees of LLB, MA, MPhil, and PhD in Hindi Literature.
Career in Education
After missing out on passing the UPSC Mains examination Ojha started his teaching career in 2005. The educational career of Ojha has included his positions as a teacher at Vajiram & Ravi, followed by NEXT IAS, and then he moved on to teach at Chanakya IAS Academy. The India Atma Karane Rahat (IQRA IAS Academy) was established in 2019 by Ojha in Pune and he also developed the "Avadh Ojha" mobile application. The energetic passionate teaching approach that Ojha applied to History lessons established him as a crowd favorite in training civil servants.
Political Endeavors
On December 2, 2024, Ojha announced his membership with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to promote educational reforms in society. Ojha competed in the 2025 Delhi Assembly election through Patparganj yet Ravinder Singh Negi from the BJP defeated him in that seat. After his electoral loss, Ojha maintained his political ambitions to serve the public.
Personal Life
On the first day of May 2007, Avadh Ojha married his wife Manjari Ojha. The couple has three daughters: Bulbul, Gungun, and Pihu. The financial statements from 2025 indicated his assets reached ₹8.59 crore and liabilities amounted to ₹1.02 crore.
