Biography Of Dilshad Bibi

Dilshad Begum Sheikh is the sister of Bollywood personalities, most popularly as the younger sister of actor brothers Feroz Khan and Sanjay Khan. Dilshad hails from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India; however, currently, she stays in Rajbagh, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. An alumnus of Sophia College, Bengaluru, Dilshad has grace and charm like the reputation that follows in her line of family lineage.

Dilshad got married to businessman Javed Sheikh in 1969. Javed belonged to the famous Kashmiri family whose timber empire was headed by his father, Sheikh Mohammad Amin. Javed left Dilshad in the mid-1980s when she had to take care of their three daughters—Shahala Ali Sheikh, Sabah Sheikh, and Sheba Sheikh—on her own. Despite all the odds, she ensured a bright future for her daughters. Shahala owns Woodfort, an elite furniture and interior designing company. Sabah is the founder of a luxury candle brand, Illuminati. Sheba, on the other hand, is a homemaker to two children.

Dilshad is also an accomplished entrepreneur and has a clothing line called Chosen Few. She spends her summer vacations in her Srinagar home. The rest of the year, her family shifts to Delhi or Mumbai.

Dilshad comes from a star-studded family. She is pretty close to her siblings and their families. Her brothers include Feroz Khan, Sanjay Khan, Akbar Khan, Sameer Khan, Shahrukh Shah Ali Khan, and adopted brother Ilyas Khan. The only sister of Dilshad to hold a place of importance in the family is Khurshid Shahnavar.

Dilshad's extended family consists of many famous nieces like Sussanne Khan, Simone Khan Arora, and Farah Khan Ali, and nephews such as Fardeen Khan and Zayed Khan. Though Dilshad hails from a very illustrious background, she prefers to stay out of the limelight, focusing on her family and entrepreneurial ventures.

While some sources incorrectly attribute her to be the organizer of the Jahan-e-Khusrau Sufi music festival in Delhi, it is filmmaker and artist Muzaffar Ali who is credited with this feat. However, Dilshad remains a respected figure in social circles, with people admiring her for her strength and commitment to her family.
