Chinu Kala was born on October 10th, 1981, in Rajasthan. At the age of only 15, she stepped out of her house with ₹300 and a small bag of clothes. She had no support, inadequate education, and was on her own. Chinu began to live on railway platforms, selling household items from door to door. Chinu singly determined to move along despite her enormous struggles.

Struggles and Early Employment
When she moved to Mumbai, she was trying to survive in India and take on many odd jobs as a coaster for sale, waitressing, and working in some garment stores. Eventually, she secured her first employment as a telemarketing executive, which exposed her to business communication skills and business skills in general. During the pandemic, Rubans successfully transitioned to online platforms, engaging consumers through e-commerce sites and its website. Rubans Accessories has served over 2.5 million customers with over 1 million different products sold, becoming a well established player in the Indian fashion accessories market.
