Prabhas, better known as "Prabhas Raju," was born in New York on October 23, 1979. He is an actor from India having ties to the Telugu film industry. His parents, Siva Kumari and U. Suryanarayana Raju, were cinema financiers. The actor has two siblings: Pramod, his brother, and Pragathi, his sister. He is the third child and youngest. After completing his education at the DNR school in Bhimavaram, Prabhas graduated from Sri Chaitanya College in Hyderabad with a B. Tech. diploma.

He acted in the fourth most successful Indian film to date, S.S. Rajamouli's epic Baahubali: The Beginning (2015). Resuming his role, he appeared in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), the first Indian film to gross over 1,000 crore (155 million US dollars) in 10 days across all languages. It was also the highest-grossing Indian film of that day.
