Saurabh Dwivedi, a well known Indian journalist renowned for his conversational style was born on April 22, 1983, in Chamari, a village in the Jalaun region of Uttar Pradesh. His family had strong connections to academia and politics so he grew up in a setting where conversations about politics and society were commonplace. His father, retired professor Ravikant Dwivedi, is affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and his grandfather, Mataprasad Dwivedi, was a prominent Congressman in his community. Saurabh is close to his family, who have greatly influenced his viewpoint and method of doing journalism. He also has a brother named Abhay Dwivedi.

Educational Journey
Saurabh began his schooling at Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Orai, a school managed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He later moved to Kanpur to complete his higher secondary education, first at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Sanatan Dharma Vidyalaya, and then at Jugal Devi Saraswati Vidya Mandir. Though he initially pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Dayanand Vedic College in Orai, he eventually developed an interest in Hindi literature, which led him to enroll at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), where he completed his Master’s in Hindi in 2006. He further pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) in Delhi, followed by an MPhil in Hindi Literature from JNU in 2010.
Career and Rise in Journalism
Saurabh’s journalism career began with Star News, where he learned the essentials of reporting. He then gained knowledge and insight into India's media scene by working with a number of media publications, such as Times Group, Nav Bharat Times, Live India and Dainik Bhaskar. 
Founding The Lallantop
In 2016, Saurabh launched The Lallantop, a digital news platform that aims to bring news to Hindi-speaking audiences in a lively, relatable format. His innovative approach to storytelling and news analysis quickly garnered a substantial following, especially among rural and youth audiences. Under his guidance The Lallantop has become a leading platform in Hindi news, and his show Political Kisse won the Digipub Award in 2017. He was also recognized as the “Best Anchor on Digital News Channel” at the ENBA Awards in 2019.
Personal Life
Saurabh married Gunjan Dwivedi in 2010, and she works as a teacher, providing steady support amidst the demands of his career. 
The couple has two children: a daughter, Gaura frequently featured on Saurabh's social media and a son whose name remains private.
