Sidd Ahmed is an Indian-American entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and the founder of VDart Inc., a staffing and global technology firm based in the US. He is one of the few immigrant entrepreneurs from limited resources to achieve success in business in the USA.

Early Life and Education

Sidd grew up in a growing family of six siblings in the state of Tamil Nadu. Even when the family's financial situation was critically poor, his parents made sure he received an education from schools with an English medium of instruction: Campion Higher Secondary School and St. John's Vestry Higher Secondary School. When he began studying in college, he was not exactly achieving straight A's. However, he started developing skills in networking and communications while at the college. Sidd studied for a degree in computer science, and later discovered he was good at sales and building relationships with clients.

Career Timeline
 

Sidd entered his professional career in the field of educational technology in his hometown before relocating to Chennai, where he began working for Aptech. While working among a community of technology professionals, he was introduced to IT recruitment, which would eventually shape his career. In 1997, he relocated to the United States and subsequently became a citizen.

After a decade in the technology sector while based in Pittsburgh and Detroit, Sidd made the bold move of resigning his position in 2007 in order to move to Atlanta, Georgia, where he started a business called VDart Inc. Johnson's business continued to flourish even throughout the recession in 2008. Today, VDart Inc. employs over 2400 professionals around the world and reported $242 million in revenue in 2022.
