Sunny Deol is known for action-packed films in Bollywood.He has worked in many iconic films along with Rajkumar Santoshi which includes Damini, Ghayal, and Ghatak. After the release of the Ghatak, the duo tried to collaborate on several projects but things didn't work out well. After the long gap of 26 years, they are all set to a unit for an epic partition drama titled Lahore:1947.

In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Rajkumar Santoshi opened up about his next film,i.e Lahore:1947. Currently, he is gearing up for the release of Gandhi Godse. He further confirmed the lead role of Sunny Deol in Lahore:1947. The film is set against the backdrop of partition.The film is now at the reproduction stage and is about to go on floors on March 1 in Mumbai. They will be creating Lahore City in a studio. Rajkumar Santoshi also said that the set is part of the story and a large part of the film will be shot on the set only. It is a very ambitious project for him. He also said he has been playing the film for the last 10 years and now things have finally fallen into place. The film is a high-octane drama and will be wrapped up by May.

He has also planned a comedy film on the lines of the superhit film Andaz Apna Apna, which is titled Ada Apni Apni.He is also working on writing scripts for the two superstars khans Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. He has 2-3 ideas for Salman Khan. He is waiting for his confirmation to go ahead with the film and has discussed the idea with him. He will also narrate the story to Aamir which he has planned. Aamir is now on a break. Rajkumar Santoshi will surely end this break by taking him back to the film set soon.
