Sridevi always wanted Jahnvi Kapoor to work with Gauri Shinde

Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is currently promoting her new film, Mili, has recently shared in an interview about her relationship with director Gauri Shinde. Late actress Sridevi worked with Gauri in her directorial debut, English Vinglish, back in 2012. The film really impressed the audience and it became one of the best films of Sridevi. And recently, the team celebrated 10 years of English Vinglish and remembered their legendary lead actress Sridevi.
As Gauri worked with Sridevi, she is now planning to work with Janhvi in her next film. Earlier, Gauri shared that she has been discussing scripts with Janhvi and they will very soon unite for some project. And now Janhvi has shared her excitement about working with Gauri.
During the interview, Janhvi also shared that her mother always wanted her to work with Gauri someday. She said that Gauri is like a family to her.
When Jahnvi was asked where she is excited to work with Gauri or not, Janhvi said, “I remember being on the sets of English Vinglish and I having an amazing time with mom. I remember that many times mom would tell me that she hope I will get to work with Gauri someday. It was like a dream for my mom. I am really close to her and she is like family to me”.
In an another interview, Gauri shared, “We talk about films because we know each other very well. And she always has been a little baby for me. And of course, I would really like to work with Janhvi.”
