Throwback: When Actor Fardeen Khan Lost His Sister Sonia Sethia In A Car Crash

Sister of Fardeen Khan Sonia Sethia and Mohan Kumar died, while Rakesh Kumar, Keshav Sharma, and 12 year old Anjay Kumar were injured in a car accident. The 48-year-old Sonia Sethia, wife of businessman Rajendra Sethia, had supper at a friend's residence in Gulmohar Park on Sunday. She had the collision when she was driving her friend's Honda City back home.

She was sitting in the back of the vehicle being driven by her driver, Rakesh Kumar. Keshav Sharma, another worker, was seated next to Rakesh Kumar. As soon as they arrived at August Kranti Marg, a second automobile allegedly being driven at high speed collided with her vehicle from behind.

Mohan Kumar and Anjay Kumar, a father and son, were seated in the Swift Dzire's front seat. According to authorities, the Swift Dzire's hood was nowhere to be found and the Honda City's rear was completely destroyed. All the accident victims were sent to AIIMS, where the medical staff declared Sonia Sethia and Mohan Kumar dead. Mohan Kumar worked as a senior technician in AIIMS-Rotary cancer centre.

Mohan's eldest son, Ashutosh, said, "My father never drives at a high speed. My father's vehicle was hit from behind at first, according to the information provided to us. He used the accelerator rather than the brakes, which caused our vehicle to crash into the Honda City. Fardeen Khan also hurried to the morgue at the AIIMS trauma centre, where the body was given to the family after the post-mortem.
