Aditi Rao Hydari Opens Up About Doing Period Films; There’s Something Magical

Aditi Rao Hydari is among the most versatile actresses in Bollywood. She is known for her spectacular performance in Bollywood and South Film Industries. Currently, the actress is busy promoting her upcoming series, Taj: Divided By Blood. It is a highly anticipated period drama series that is going to stream on Zee5 very soon. The stellar star cast of this series includes Dharmendra, Nasseruddin Shah, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rahul Bose, Zaarena Wahab, and others. In a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, The actress opened up about why she is constantly choosing period films. 

The actress admitted that she has no idea why period dramas are coming to her and why she is so attracted to this genre. She said that she knows that period dramas just came into her life somehow or the other. But she doesn't know what it is and why she loves them. Aditi further added that 100% of it is her love for epic love stories or periodic love stories, or anything to do with history. It always makes her more excited. The Heera Mandi actress stated that even if she listens to something regular, she asks if it is period or not. She doesn't know but there’s something magical about it. She concludes that she doesn't know what it is but she is happy that she gets to do a lot of these period dramas.

The versatile actress is playing the iconic character Anarkali in the much-anticipated web series Taj: Divided by Blood. The storyline of the series revolves around the Mughal sultanate. It is all set to premiere on Zee5 on March 3, 2023. She is also playing one of the leading roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming series Heera Mandi’, along with Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, and Sharmin Shegal. The series will soon premiere on Netflix.
