Advance Bookings Open for Baby John: Varun Dhawan’s Christmas Release
The highly anticipated action thriller Baby John, directed by Kalees and starring Varun Dhawan, is all set to hit theaters this Christmas. Produced by Atlee, who delivered the blockbuster Jawan last year, the film is generating buzz among fans. According to reports from Sacnilk, the advance bookings for Baby John have crossed 50,000 tickets, raking in over ₹2 crore ahead of its release.

Ticket Sales and Early Earnings
With 6,489 scheduled shows across India, the film has sold 49,557 tickets for its opening day, collecting ₹1.46 crore in advance bookings so far. Though they sound really good, these figures do not really fulfill the expectations of such a scaled-up production value film.

Tough Times Ahead for Baby John
Baby John is set to receive stern competition, especially after the massive hit of Sukumar's Tollywood action thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule that released just this month. Allu Arjun has become a true box-office phenomenon, raking in over ₹1,000 crore domestically within just 19 days.

Previous Hits of Atlee and Varun Dhawan
Expectations are very high for Baby John, especially in view of Atlee's post-hype history after Jawan, where Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi star, grossed ₹733.6 crore alone in India.

It is a big film for Varun Dhawan, as he has not had great luck at the box office, so far. The last successful release for him was in 2022 with the romantic comedy called Jugjugg Jeeyo. Other releases such as the comedy-drama Bhediya and the romantic drama Bawaal could not make the cut at the BO. Recently, Varun also dabbled into streaming with his web series debut on Citadel: Honey Bunny, available on Amazon Prime Video.

A Star-studded Cast
This movie also boasts an ensemble cast such as Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav. The film is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jio Studios with Jyoti Deshpande directing it.

More Films Lined Up for Varun Dhawan
After Baby John, Varun Dhawan features in a couple of exciting ventures: a romantic comedy titled Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Shashank Khaitan and a comedy by his father, David Dhawan, called Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.

Baby John, a film that carries a lot of weight on the shoulders of not just the lead actor but also the production team, promises to deliver and has fans on their toes.
