Box Office Collections Collapsed on Day 4 of Baby John: Struggles Continue for Varun Dhawan's Starrer
Baby John is an action-drama starring Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi. It was released into theaters on the Christmas day. The film, directed by Kalees, is a remake of the well-known Tamil movie Theri, and got mixed reviews from audiences as well as critics.According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the movie earned approximately ₹3.99 crore on its fourth day at the box office.
Box Office Performance
Despite featuring big names and being released during the festive season, Baby John has yet to cross the ₹25 crore mark. After four days, the film has grossed an estimated ₹23.6 crore.
On its opening day, Baby John performed reasonably well with a collection of ₹11.25 crore. However, the film experienced a sharp decline on its second day, earning ₹4.75 crore, and showed only a slight improvement on day three with ₹3.65 crore. Reports indicate that the movie had a Hindi occupancy rate of just 12.46% on its first Saturday.
Contests and Challenges
Because of its poor performance, several of the day-to-day shows of Baby John have been substituted by the Malayalam action movie Marco, starring Unni Mukundan. Reportedly from Bollywood Hungama, the film may well be looking at further reductions in weekdays showtimes.
Baby John may have intended itself to be a mass entertainer, but the numbers at its box office range suggest that things are going to get difficult from now on.
