Indian television actress Dipika Kakar is a well-known face of Hindi TV serials. In Pune, Maharashtra, she was born on August 6, 1986. Her father was in the army, so she started her education at the Kendriya Vidyalaya, which is located in Dehuroad. For further studies, she joined Mumbai University, from where she graduated. She became a flight attendant.
After working for about 3 years at Jet Airways as a flight attendant, she left her job due to her health issues. She debut in 2010 in Neer Bhare Tere Naina TV serial where she played the role of Lakshmi.
Then she played the character of Rekha Prasad in the 2011 serial Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, and she got very popular because of her character Simar Bhardwaj in Sasural Simar Ka. She also took part in Color’s TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8, which is a dance reality show, as a contender.
She was also seen in Nach Baliye 8 and Box Cricket League 3. She also won Big Boss season 12. She played the role of Sonakshi Rastogi in Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum. She also did a cameo in the Bollywood movie Paltan. She also released the music album Yaar Dua in 2021.
