The heading talks about Goldmines Telefilms, which is both a television and YouTube channel. To understand the influence of this channel by Manish Shah one has to go through its massive scale of numbers. For instance, the Hindi dub of the Kanada film, KGF and the sequels together have more than a thousand million views. This is the combined population of Bangladesh, Brazil, Russia, Pakistan and the US. Let's talk about how it all began.

Bahubali

In the 2000s, there were a lot of multiplexes coming up, and then the producers started making films which suited these multiplexes, like rom-coms, love stories and comedies. What were they missing out on? Well, it was action which was enjoyed by single-screen audiences and the same happened with television as well. Multiplexes were coming up in the south too, but they didn't stop making action movies. This gave Manish Shah the idea of bringing them here. As he got the rights to these films for cheap, he went for it. He started with the Telugu film, Mass, and dubbed it into Meri Jung: One Man Army, which got one of the highest TRPs on Sony Max. This success boosted his confidence.

This was the basic idea behind the channel, a hit or flop movie in the original language was still a hit in Hindi after the changes made by them. They made every possible change to make it right for the Hindi audience. For example, in some South films, the plot shows the cousins getting married to each other. There are also scenes where the girl's coming-of-age ceremony is celebrated. But these things don't happen in the North, so to make them relatable, the channel people changed the scene to the girl's 18th birthday. There are many such scenes which have to be edited and explained through dialogue.

Manish Shah's investments have grown multiple hundred times. He bought Mass for Rs 7 lakhs, Varudu for 10 lakhs and now these are worth 20 crores.
