Her College Life

Srushti Deshmukh was refused access to the IITs, despite her best attempts, so she attended The Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, a private engineering college, to study a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering (affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya RGPV, Bhopal). During her schooling and college, Srushti was heavily involved in extracurricular activities, having achieved an NCC A certificate. As well as her academic studies, she participated in debates, was part of the Scouts and Guides, and took part in a range of other cultural activities. She has also held numerous online gatherings with LNCT students after achieving success in the UPSC. 

Two years ago, whilst furthering her engineering education, she began preparing for the UPSC exam. She only ever wanted to take the IAS exam once and engineering was her back-up plan in case she was unsuccessful.

Srushti is grateful to her dad, Jayant Deshmukh, who is an engineer employed in a private firm; her mother, Sunita Deshmukh, who is a kindergarten teacher; her younger brother who is in seventh grade; her grandma, educators, advisors, and dearest companions for their help in helping her do well on this test.
