Mahesh Bhatt's 1990 Indian Hindi language musical love drama film Aashiqui, the first in the Aashiqui sequel, stars Rahul Roy, Anu Aggarwal, and Deepak Tijori in significant parts. At the time of its release, it was the Bollywood album with the highest sales. On April 26, 2013, Mohit Suri's Aashiqui 2, which stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor and has a different theme, was released.

Saajan (1991)

       

Lawrence D'Souza directed Saajan, a 1991 Bollywood love drama movie in Urdu. With Kader Khan, Reema Lagoo, and Laxmikant Berde playing supporting roles, it features Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Sanjay Dutt in the key roles.

1993's KhalNayak is a Hindi-language action-crime movie from India. Sanjay Dutt plays the role of the villain in the movie, along with Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff. Inspector Ram (Shroff) and his cop lover Ganga (Dixit) attempt to apprehend criminal Ballu (Dutt), with the main focus of the story being Ballu's escape. Released on June 15, 1993, Khal Nayak surpassed Aankhen to earn the second-highest box office total of 1993 in Hindi.

Baazigar (1993)

           

Baazigar was a Hindi-language romantic thriller film directed by Abbas–Mustan. This film featured Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles, while Raakhee, Shilpa Shetty, Dalip Tahil, Siddharth Ray, and Johnny Lever appeared in supporting roles.

This was Khan's breakthrough role as the lone lead (his first as an anti-hero), Kajol's first commercial hit, and Shetty's feature film debut. 

Andaaz Apna Apna (1994)

Dil toh Pagal hai (1997)

             

Dil toh Pagal hai is a Hindi romantic drama film released in 1997. Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and Karishma Kapoor played the lead roles in the film.

The Yash Chopra-directed movie revolves around the musical dance troupe led by Rahul, a character portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan, and his love story.

Satya (1998)

             

Satya is a Hindi thriller film Starring Manoj Bajpayee, J.D. Chakravarthy, and Saurabh Shukla. This film is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film shows the story of an immigrant Satya (Chakravarthy), who comes to Mumbai looking for a job, befriends Bhiku Mhatre (Bajpayee), and is drawn into the Mumbai underworld.
