Varisu has been directed by Vamshi Paidipally, who co-wrote it with Hari and Ashishor Solomon, It has an impressive cast that includes Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, along with several other actors like R. Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shaam, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sangeetha Krish, VTV Ganesh, S.J Suryah and Suman in key roles. It has been produced jointly by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema. 

The film was in the talks ever since its announcement in 2021 and it was finally released on 11 Jan 23. It created a lot of buzz specially in the Tamil fanbase. Today, let us talk about the budget and overall performance of the film. 

The film was made in a budget of more than 280 crores and as per the speculations Vijay got a salary of around 110 crores while Rashmika took around 4 crores for her role. As per the details and information shared by the makers, it had crossed a collection of 300 crores worldwide. This has now become Vijay's top films. It took a while for the film to cross the Rs 300 crore milestone after collecting Rs 250 crore in 11 days, it finally achieved this feat on the 26th day of its release. 

Based on the worldwide collection it is considered to be a hit film. It got a mixed review as some praised it for the emotions while other criticised it for the slow pacing.
