'Kanishak Kataria,' a 26-year-old IIT Bombay alumnus, is currently working in Rajasthan as the director of the social justice department. He is the son of Sanwar Kataria, an IAS officer assigned to the state's Department of social justice. His father is an Indian Administrative Service officer, and his mother is a graduate. His father's uncle is a divisional commissioner in Jaipur, and his maternal grandfather worked for the state government. His education was completed in Kota, Rajasthan. Maths has always been his favourite subject since he started school. In 2010, he took the IIT JEE exam and finished 44th out of all Indians.

He attended IIT Bombay and earned a degree in computer science and engineering in 2014. After finishing his fourth-year semester, he joins Samsung and relocates to Korea for this position. He works there for one and a half years before returning to India and starting work for the same company.

10th and 12th Class Percentage

His 10th-grade percentage was 95%, and his 12th-grade percentage was 91%. He is a brilliant student since his childhood because he comes from an educated family. He also ranked 44th in India in the Jee examination, so you can understand how brilliant a student he was.

Optional Subject in UPSC

His UPSC exam optional subject is mathematics. He has always loved math and it is his favourite subject in school; he has no reservations about taking math as an optional subject. Another factor is that if you write a proper answer in math, the examiner has to give you 10 out of 10, whereas in history, geography, or any other subject, an examiner gives you 6 to 7 marks for that answer, but in math, he has to give you 10 out of 10. This is the simple logic he employs when selecting his optional subject.

His Wife
Sonal Chouhan is his wife's name. They are both B.Tech students at IIT Bombay. They began dating each other at IIT Bombay and decided to marry after Kanishak Kataria was appointed as an IAS officer.
