Ownership

CSK is owned by Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited, a public limited company created in 2014. India Cements Shareholders Trust holds 30% of the major shares, followed by Saradha Logistics with 6.9%, and Life Insurance Corporation of India with 6%. N. Srinivasan, the Managing Director of India Cements, also serves as a director on the board.  

Captaincy

Ruturaj Gaikwad was named captain for 2025. But because of a hairline fracture in his elbow during a game against the Rajasthan Royals, he was out of action for the rest of the season. So, MS Dhoni took over captaincy once again for the rest of the season.
