Recover a Facebook Account on a Computer

1. Open Facebook in the browser with your friend’s or family’s account.

2. Find the profile in the search or Friends list that you are trying to log into.

3. Tap the three dots on the right side of the page, in line with tabs under the account name.

4. Click on Find support or report profile 

5. Select Something Else.

6. Click Recover this Account.

7. You’ll be logged out of the current Facebook account and taken to the Find Your Account window.

8. Enter your email address or phone number connected with the Facebook account and click on Search.

9. Choose whether you want to get the code on your phone number or email address to reset your password.

10. Follow the instructions and enter the code to regain access to your account.

Recover a Facebook Account on a Mobile

1. Open the Facebook app and click on Forgot Password? in the Login window.

2. On the Find Your Account page, enter your phone number for the account.

3. On finding the required account, tap it. You’ll be redirected to the Log In window.

4. Click on Try Another Way.

5. Enter your email address or phone number connected with the Facebook account and click on Search.

6. Choose whether you want to get the code on your phone number or email address to reset your password.

7. Follow the instructions and enter the code to regain access to your account.
