Family and Education
Anil Kapoor, the second child of Nirmal and Surinder Kapoor, was born on December 24, 1956. Along with his siblings Boney, Reena, and Sanjay Kapoor, he was raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
After completing his studies at Mumbai's Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School, he went on to St. Xavier's College to receive his diploma, but his low attendance ultimately led to his expulsion.
He participated in competitions and performed in plays at this college. He is the nephew of Prithviraj Kapoor and the uncle of several well-known young Bollywood performers, including Arjun and Jahanvi Kapoor.
