Know About Kite Victers Kerala’s online learning channel
KITE VICTORS -- which stands for Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education Versatile ICT Enabled Resource for Students-- is the first of its kind digital education initiative from the state of Kerala. Under the aegis of the Department of General Education, it went live in 2005 with a vision to make access to technology and digital learning tools easier for students all over the state.

Aim and Purpose
The network we put together does for which designed to fill in educational gaps and to bring high-quality study materials to students’ doors, no matter where they are. We also use information and communication technology (ICT) to put curriculum-based content right into the home, which in turn means that education does not have to take place within the 4 walls of the classroom.
Programmes and Coverage
KITE VICTERS is a daily feature of educational programs that cover from primary to higher secondary classes. We present material that follows the Kerala state syllabus, and we serve many subjects, thus being a single-stop solution for all your learning needs. Also, we bring in special features, interactive programs, and segments that develop skills to keep our viewers engaged.
The “First Bell” Initiative
During the COVID-19 lockdown, VICTERS introduced what became one of their most successful initiatives, which was the First Bell program. What had been put in place was a structure for continuous education as schools were closed. We saw the launch of video lessons, which went out via TV and also online, which in turn was made available for the students to access at any time they wished. This also helped reduce learning lessons, and we saw a very structured routine for students put in place.
Multi-Platform Accessibility
In light of the different access levels of each household, VICTERS presents content through many platforms. Students may watch modules on TV, play with online versions, and go through mobile apps. Also made available for review are archived videos and updated schedules, which also support better flexibility in the learning experience.
Inclusivity and Challenges
VICTERS reports that they reach into urban, rural, and tribal areas. For many kids who do not have stable internet access, TV is the best medium. At the same time, we see that issues like a lack of devices, power outages, and also limited parent support are reported. We are constantly working to improve in these areas.
Conclusion
KITE VICTERS is a full-scale educational initiative that is not a channel in the traditional sense. They have put together a technology-based approach to structure their learning modules very efficiently. Also, they are known for programs like First Bel, which set a bar as to how digital platforms can be used to keep the learning going even in the most trying of times.
