Brahmastra beats off KGF 2, The Kashmir Files, and Dangal to set this incredible box office record.

National Cinema Day has proven to be a game changer for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra: Part 1 Shiva. With the lowest ticket price of Rs 75 on September 23rd, a significant number of individuals went to movie halls to watch this adventure-action-fantasy movie, resulting in a large number at the  box office. According to early estimates, it earned roughly Rs 8.60 crore on 23rd September, making it the second-highest third-Friday grosser of all time, surpassing blockbusters like KGF 2 (Hindi), Dangal, and The Kashmir Files.

Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion – Rs. 10.05 cr

Brahmastra – Rs.8.60 cr

Bajirao Mastani – Rs. 7.5 cr

PK – Rs. 6.85 cr

Dangal – Rs. 6.66 cr

Brahmastra has currently earned over Rs 228 crore, with the Hindi version contributing roughly around Rs 206 crore. Since the picture is likely to do well over the weekend, it would be intriguing to watch if the Ayan Mukerji-directed film can surpass The Kashmir Files (Rs 252.90) to become the highest-earning Bollywood film of 2022.

 

Brahmastra is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia, and Mouni Roy in key parts, with a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. The music of the film is composed by Pritam while Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the lyrics.

The second part of the film, named Brahmastra: Part 2 Shiva, is set to be released in 2025.
