Kiara Advani refers to herself as a director's actor: 'I gave in to Shashank Khaitan's vision for Govinda Naam Mera.'

Kiara Advani had a memorable 2021 and 2022 seasons. Her film Sherhshaah performed exceptionally well in theatres in 2021 and was well received by her fans. In 2022, her performances in JugJugg Jeeyo and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 were praised by audiences from all walks of life, and both films grossed more than Rs 100 crores at the box office.

Kiara is currently starring in the film Govinda Naam Mera alongside Vicky Kaushal. Shashank Khaitan directed the film, which is available on Disney Plus Hotstar.

The 31-year-old actress spoke to PTI about the box office success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Jugjugg Jeeyo this year. "We don't make the film for ourselves, but for the audience," she told PTI. We want them to enjoy it, and we want each of them to leave smiling, happy, and entertained. We just want you to watch it over and over. If a film has a high replay value, that is the greatest gift ever."

Kiara went on to talk about her experience working on the sets of Govinda Naam Mera. According to PTI, the actress stated that she is nervous before the release of any film, regardless of medium.

"Whether it's a theatrical or digital release... Even while putting up the trailer, there are little butterflies about whether people will like it or not. The first verdict is derived from there. The next two weeks are going to be pretty laid-back. "You're promoting, laughing, and remembering how much fun it was to shoot together," she explained.

Kiara described herself as a director's actor. "I gave in to Shashank Khaitan's vision for Govinda Naam Mera."

"As an actor, I'm constantly trying to grasp my director's vision. It is ultimately this one person's vision. So you have to be on the same page as your director," the Shershaah actress told PTI.
