Kriti Sanon Said That She Felt Deep Sadness After Adipurush Failure!!!
Kriti Sanon recently opened up about the disappointment she felt after the failure of the high-budget film Adipurush at the box office. While 2024 has been a successful year for her with hits like Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, 2023 marked a significant setback in her career with Adipurush. The film, which was based on the Ramayana, featured Kriti as Sita and Prabhas as Lord Ram. It faced heavy criticism for its visual effects and controversial dialogues, leading to its poor performance in its opening week. In a recent interview, Kriti expressed that she felt a “deep sadness” following the movie’s failure.
When asked how she dealt with the backlash after the film’s disappointing run, Kriti admitted that it was disheartening. “You feel a profound sadness and may even find yourself in tears, questioning what went wrong,” she shared. Addressing the criticism that the film hurt religious sentiments, Kriti emphasized that this was never their intention. She stated, “The aim is never to offend; every project is undertaken with positive intentions. However, sometimes things don’t work out as planned, and it’s important to learn from those experiences.”
Kriti also reflected on the limited control she has as an actor, adding, “As an actor, the best approach is to stay focused, put in the effort, and move on to the next project. There are many factors beyond my control, but I always strive to perform my role to the best of my ability.” She further mentioned that she values “constructive criticism” and has learned to differentiate between genuine feedback and comments stemming from frustration. “At home, after watching my films, we have a morning chai session where my family gives me honest feedback on what they liked and didn’t like. I believe constructive criticism is important, but it’s crucial not to take every criticism too personally,” she said.
With both of Kriti Sanon’s films this year crossing the Rs 80 crore mark at the box office, she is now eagerly anticipating the release of Do Patti, her debut film as a producer, which also stars Kajol.
